Today on our 2018 Grand Design Reflection One fifty fifth wheel, you're gonna be taking a look, and I'm gonna show you how I installed the Hydrastar electric over hydraulic actuator kit for disc brakes, part number HBA16-252-82.This is what our actuator looks like when it's installed. You can see here I have it mounted in the front storage compartment of our trailer. So you want to make sure wherever you mount it, you leave your filler cap accessible so you can maintain your fluid level for your brakes. This actuator is gonna be powered through your seven pole plug on the back of your truck, it's gonna give you 1600 PSI, and it's gonna convert your electric signal over to hydraulic pressure to give you maximum braking power on your trailer. Once you've monitored your actuator, then the next thing you want to do is you want to mount your breakaway switch battery and charger, which is this black box here.A couple questions that may be asked is why you need a separate battery for your breakaway switch. While your trailer is being towed, your breakaway switch needs to have constant power. more
